Child Rights and the Climate Crisis – A Review of 9 Save the Children Pilots
Summary
This report and the summary report set out the documentation, learnings and recommendations from the nine pilot projects which have been part of Save the Children Norway’s Climate Initiative 2021-2024, through the lens of the following four thematic areas:
- Green Generation – Environmental Education in Cambodia, Guatemala, Lebanon, occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) and Syria;
- Climate and child and youth participation and climate advocacy in Egypt and Mozambique (and partially oPt West Bank only);
- Green jobs in Nepal;
- Indigenous knowledge, locally led adaptation in Colombia (and Guatemala as a spin-off of their pilot project).
It aims to capture the essence of the Climate Initiative, highlighting the key results, lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future climate programming and advocacy.
